Jayne's pieces always begin with the creation of a monotype print on an etching press. After every pass through the press, Jayne assesses the outcomes and makes creative decisions accordingly, building layer upon layer to dynamically adjust the compositions.

From the press, each piece then undergoes a series of further processes, from screen printing, painting and hand cut stenciling to the application of gold leaf, elements of collage and vintage decals. Some pieces comprise over fifteen different layers and processes before they are completed.

Jayne’s work is characterized by the use of bold color, evocative forms, and the use of rich textures and patterns. Each piece represents a visual exploration - an experimental interplay of harmony and tension, shaped as much by instinct as by intention. By surrendering to the combined forces of unpredictability and commitment, she allows each composition to evolve organically, resulting in pieces which end somewhere different from where they began.

Jayne's pieces are not print runs or editions - each work is crafted by hand, and every one is an individual, original, unique piece of art.
